Former PBA player TY Tang has been named head coach of the St. Benilde Blazers.
Tang, who last played for Rain or Shine in the PBA, was reportedly introduced to the players Wednesday.
It is the first head coaching stint for the 32-year-old guard, who replaces Gabby Velasco for the post.
The move comes after the Blazers’ dismal campaign in the NCAA Season 92 where it finished dead last with just one win in 18 games.
Velasco’s best record as the Blazers coach came three years ago when they collected a 11-7 card good for fifth place.C
