The Adamson Falcons started from the bottom and ended in the Final Four.
From a dismal 3-11 record last season, the Falcons flipped the script after Franz Pumaren took over the coaching reins and soared to the fourth seed with an 8-5 record.
Though the Falcons fell back to earth in their lone game in the Final Four, Pumaren was proud of what his bunch has done.

“It was a good run for us, and I guess we overachieved,” said Pumaren after losing to La Salle 69-64 Wednesday at Mall of Asia Arena. “This was supposed to be a transition period, but we overachieved.”
Pumaren inherited an Adamson team whose last Final Four appearance was in Season 74 when the Falcons finished with a 10-4 record behind top seed and eventual champion Ateneo, which had a 13-1 slate.
“This tournament is an eye-opener for our maturity and experience, but we survived it,” said Pumaren.

And with just one year in his belt as an Adamson coach, Pumaren said he still has to fulfill the promise he gave to the school when he was hired before the UAAP season started.
“I don’t sugarcoat anything, I’m here to give Adamson a championship before my contract expires.”
