BOCAUE, BULACAN—In terms of technique and timing, Phil Younghusband’s goal that forged a 2-2 draw against Indonesia in the AFF Suzuki Cup last Tuesday night could turn out to be one of the best among the 43 that he has scored for the country.

“Ask me again after the game on Friday,” Younghusband told the Inquirer when queried where the equalizer ranked in his 10-year international career. “It won’t mean anything if we don’t qualify (to semifinals).”

Younghusband said his goal “only gives them a chance to qualify and that’s the most important thing.”
