10 teams eyed for 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup

There will be a new champion upcoming 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup.

Ten teams are set to join the PBA’s development league but Phoenix, which won both the Aspirants’ Cup and Foundation Cup titles, has begged off.

Six squads are already secured of joining, with the league awaiting four more teams with the deadline for payment of the entry fee extended until December 1.

Last season’s runner-up Cafe France banners the cast, alongs with returnees AMA Online Education and Blustar Malaysia.

Cignal, Manuel L. Quezon University, and the Province of Batangas will also make their debut this conference.

Set to pay their dues next week are Tanduay and Racal while the league awaits confirmation from Flying V-FEU and Wangs Basketball.

This year, the league will also allow each team to have two players exceeding the age of 30. One must be below 32, while the other can move past the age limit, granting both of those are ex-PBA players.
