F2 Logistics fended off Cignal, 25-17, 25-16, 22-25, 25-10, to book the last semifinals ticket in the Philippine Superliga Grand Prix Sunday night at Philsports Arena.
The Cargo Movers will face second seed Petron in the semifinals.
F2 head coach Ramil De Jesus said the team had to regain its composure in the fourth set after dropping the third against the HD Spikers.
“Never pa namin natalo ng straight sets ang Cignal kasi dun sila naghahanap ng magandang combination ng tao, (We have never beaten Cignal in straight sets since this is the time they get the right mix of people and plays),” said De Jesus.
Sydney Kemper and Hayley Spelman dropped the hammer on Cignal finishing with 18 and 17 points, respectively, for the Cargo Movers while Ara Galang pitched in with 13 points.
Laura Schaudt finished with 14 points for Cignal which is still missing its other import Lynda Morales due to injury.
F2 had its offensive game in full throttle outscoring Cignal 54-37 in spikes and 11-5 in aces.
