San Miguel-Northern cement leads by 5
San Miguel-Northern Cement pooled a second round 135 points built around Chit Laureta’s one-over-par 70 worth 35 as the defending champions opened up a five-shot lead over Manila Southwoods at the halfway point of Fil Championship division play of the 67th Fil-Am Invitational.
Laureta gunned down three birdies against a bogey at picturesque Camp John Hay in Baguio and San Miguel-Northern Cement got 34s from Benjie Sumulong and Bong Sison with either 32s of Eddie Bagtas and Jingy Tuason counting.
San Miguel-Northern Cement now has a 265 total as Southwoods slowed down with 126 to be at 260.
