WATCH: Vince Carter super-fan travels from China to meet idol
Vince Carter’s Memphis Grizzlies may have lost the game against the visiting Charlotte Hornets on Monday (Tuesday in Manila), but he felt like a true winner after receiving a moving support from a dedicated fan who had traveled more than 7,000 miles for him.
An unidentified woman flew 14 hours from China just to witness Carter in action at the FedEx Forum in Memphis, Tennessee, USA.
According to the signs she proudly held throughout the game, it was a “dream” of hers to see the 39-year-old forward in person, whom she had cherished for 16 years.
She also wrote that it would make her the “happiest person in the world” if she was able to snap a photo with him.

After spotting the colorful hand-made signs, Carter approached the clearly star-strucked fan and asked security to allow her to enter the court.
Much to the her delight, the eight-time All-Star granted her wish for a photo and the pair even managed to exchange pleasantries, before Carter returned to the locker room.
According to Fox News, the fan had tried in vain to meet Vince in the past while he was still with the Dallas Mavericks. Khristian Ibarrola
