After inking a multimillion-peso contract, no one was more surprised in owning local pro volleyball’s first mega-buck deal than Myla Pablo herself.

The flashy, big-spiking open hitter said all she did was work “very hard” on her game and didn’t expect it will be rewarded in such a big way.

“I’m very happy because of the trust the team gave me. I’m so thankful to God and my coaches and I will never let them down,” said the 23-year-old Pablo in Filipino.

Last Tuesday, Pablo inked a P4.6 million, five-year contract with Pocari Sweat, with the deal sweetened by a brand new Hyundai Accent for what is now considered as the most lucrative package to date in Philippine pro volleyball.

Immediately, Pablo is planning to buy her family a house somewhere in Laguna.
