From the streets of Dublin, Ireland, to the bright lights of the UFC, Conor McGregor has truly come a long way.
Perhaps his next conquest might just be the biggest yet, as he is reportedly set to invade the mystical world of Westeros, according to Metro.
“It’s been agreed that McGregor will appear in one of the remaining two seasons of Game Of Thrones,” an unidentified source close to the show told the UK-based news site.
“He was headhunted as it were by HBO, as one of the Game Of Thrones directors is a huge UFC fan. They believed that he would be a perfect fit for the show.”
Details of McGregor’s supposed role have yet to be disclosed, but it’s highly likely he’ll receive a brief cameo appearance much like Coldplay’s Will Champion in one episode of Season 3.
Members of the rock bands “Mastodon’ and “Of Monsters and Men” also served as extras in previous episodes.
It is also worth noting that the show’s cast is wrapping up filming in Belfast, which is just an hour and a half away from McGregor’s home in Dublin.
Prior to his rumored casting, the reigning UFC lightweight king was filmed sparring with Hafpor Julius Bjornsson, who plays the behemoth Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane on the HBO hit.
