La Salle hotshot Jeron Teng and San Beda dynamo Davon Potts banner the list of applicants for the 2016 PBA D-League Draft set on December 20.
Leading both of their collegiate squads to their respective leagues’ championship duels, the two headline the 128-man pool from which the 10 participating teams will make their picks for their the 2017 Aspirants’ Cup rosters.
Of the list, 113 are locals while 15 are Fil-foreign applicants.
Other notable names in the list include San Beda standout Robert Bolick, Far Eastern University playmaker Monbert Arong, Letran big man Jom Sollano, and Southwestern U guard Mac Tallo.
It will be an open race to the title, with last year’s defending champion Phoenix passing up for this season.
Aspirants’ Cup runner-up Cafe France and Foundation Cup bridesmaid Tanduay emerge as the favorites to claim the crown this season.
Not far behind are Racal, AMA Online Education, Blustar Malaysia, returnees Wangs Basketball and Jose Rizal University, and newcomers Cignal, Province of Batangas, and Manuel L. Quezon University.
