Under Altamirano, the Bulldogs snared the UAAP Season 77 championship in 2014 behind Alfred Aroga, Gelo Alolino, Troy Rosario, and Glenn Khobuntin, the first in 60 years for the Jhocson campus.

He wrapped up his career with a 59-43 coaching record through his six-year stay.

“Any interested party should submit their resume to the athletics department of NU perhaps in the next week so that management will have enough time to evaluate everyone,” he said.

Loyzaga also said that the school is hoping to come up with the next head coach by early or mid-January.

“Once we receive all applications, the management will make a shortlist of the candidates and hopefully, maybe sometime early or mid-January, management will make the announcement on who will be chosen to head the NU Bulldogs team,” he said. “Perhaps, we’ll have a better picture by that time so that we can prepare for the next season of the UAAP.”
