Aldin Ayo has made his mark in both the UAAP and the NCAA after winning basketball titles in successive years.

Now, the La Salle head coach wants to give back to where he came from.

Ayo plans to conduct talks to coaches based in the provinces and share his experiences in leading the Knights and the Green Archers to the top of their respective leagues.

“Whatever achievement I got would be a big deal for those coaches based in the provinces, because I’m the only one in the coaches here in the league that didn’t get his start in Manila,” said Ayo Wednesday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Before Ayo got his break with Letran, the former Knight was a city councilor at Sorsogon and tending to his farm.

A call from his alma mater brought the architect of the “Mayhem” defense to the NCAA where he would lead the Knights to the basketball title in Season 91.

La Salle then enlisted the services of Ayo and he would then proceed to lead the Green Archers to their ninth UAAP basketball title.

“I plan to talk to the coaches based in the provinces for free, it’s my way of helping them so I can encourage them that they are capable of coaching here in Manila,” said Ayo.

“As long as you work hard and persevere, those coaches can do it.”
