Rain or Shine went on a second half blitz to get back on track with a 107-93 win over Blackwater Friday in the 2017 PBA Philippine Cup at Smart Araneta Coliseum.

James Yap paced the Elasto Painters with his season-best 15 points on a 2-of-4 shooting from three that went with five rebounds.

Raymond Almazan also registered a double-double with 14 markers and 16 boards, while Jewel Ponferrada had 13 points and six rebounds.

Gabe Norwood and Don Trollano allowed Rain or Shine to pull away in the final two periods as the Elastopainters found their touch from the outside, going 13-of-26.

“We came out firing in the second half,” said coach Caloy Garcia. “The difference in today’s game is we’re moving the ball better and we’re trusting our ball movement rather than our individual talents.”

Trollano poured eight of his 11 points in the fourth, while Norwood had all of his nine markers in the third to help their side pull away from the Elite.

The Elasto Painters bounced back from their 81-74 loss to Ginebra on Sunday and improved to 3-1.

Blackwater, meanwhile, fell for the second consecutive game and went down to an even 2-2.

Raymond Aguilar topped the Elite with 15 points, three rebounds, and two assists, while Mac Belo got 13 markers, nine boards, and three assists.
