Lee downplays first game against Rain or Shine
If James Yap is feeling a little nostalgic ahead of his first game against former team Star, Paul Lee would like to differ.
Lee and Yap swapped places during the offseason and on Dec. 18 the two stars would face their former teams.
Article continues after this advertisementYap said it will “big deal” for him going up against the franchise he has played for in 12 years, but Lee is a little bit nonchalant for the encounter next Sunday.
“It’s okay, it’s all the same, and of course I will prepare and the team will prepare against them,” said Lee who began the first five years of his career as an Elasto Painter.
“Rain or Shine is still a strong team, they’re 3-1, and they’re still tough whatever happens. Mike Tolomia and JWash [Jay Washington] are good additions.”
Article continues after this advertisementLee was a two-time champion with Rain or Shine and was the Finals MVP when they won the 2016 Commissioners’ Cup.
He was also the Rookie of the Year in 2012.
