After leading La Salle to the UAAP Season 79 championship, a new challenge awaits Jeron Teng as he is set to be picked first by AMA Online Education in the 2016 PBA D-League Rookie Draft.

AMA coach Mark Herrera said the 6-foot-2 wingman is the best talent in the 128-man pool and he sees him fitting in well with the Titans.

“We’re sure that he’ll be our first pick,” Herrera said.

Herrera said among the things he is impressed with Teng is his relentless approach to the game, something he has seen since the 22-year-old’s high school days in Xavier.

“He’s very dedicated. I’ve seen him grow since high school and whenever he plays, he always gives his 101 percent,” he said.

The 2016 PBA D-League Draft is set on December 20 at PBA Cafe.
