Ray Parks exploded for a league season-high 41 points as Alab Pilipinas streaked to a second straight victory at the expense of the Kaohsiung Truth, 93-87, Sunday night in the Asean Basketball League at Olivarez Gym in Paranaque.

A week after torching the same team for 30 points in Alab’s 91-82 victory in Bulacan, the former National University star was at it again with another brilliant individual effort, hitting 16 of his 20 shots while grabbing 14 rebounds as the Filipinos raised their record to 2-1.

Korean import Lee Seung-jun notched 24 points and Lee Dong Jun added eight points for Alab which is bracing for its first away game of the season against the Singapore Slingers in Singapore next Sunday.

Kaohsiung paraded new heritage imports in former Far Eastern U standouts Achie Inigo and Raymar Jose, after fielding only one reinforcement in Mikee Reyes last week.

But the duo could do little to stop the Truth from falling to a fourth straight defeat. Parks, an NBA D-League veteran, got Alab off to a blistering start with 11 points in the first period as the home team established an early double-digit advantage. A 15-0 blitz in the first perod put Alab in firm control, 21-6.

Jose finished with 12 points and seven boards, including five offensive rebounds, before fouling out midway in the fourth period, while Inigo had four points on 2-of-8 shooting. Imports Chris Oliver and Derek Hall led the Truth with 23 points each.
