Arcilla, Tierro showdown looms

Top seed Johnny Arcilla and No. 2 Patrick John Tierro scored convincing wins and appeared set for another title duel in the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala Dagitab Festival Open Naga, Cebu last Sunday.

Arcilla ousted Mark Gayo, 6-2, 6-1, to arrange a last eight duel with No. 7 Bryan Otico.

Tierro, raring to get back at Arcilla who beat him in their last two finals meetings, booted out Kim Saraza, 6-4, 6-0.

Top seed Clarice Patrimonio and No. 2 Khim Iglupas also advanced in the ladies’ side.
