INDEPENDENCE, Ohio — Cavaliers forward Kevin Love didn’t practice because of a sore left knee and is questionable for Cleveland’s game in Milwaukee on Tuesday.
Coach Tyronn Lue says Love banged his knee during Saturday night’s win over the Los Angeles Lakers. Love finished with 27 points and 17 rebounds. It’s not known precisely when the injury happened.
Lue said if Love can’t play against the Bucks that Richard Jefferson will start. The Cavs host the Bucks on Wednesday night. They already are thin up front after Chris “Birdman” Andersen sustained a season-ending knee injury in practice last week.
Love is averaging 22.3 points and 10.7 rebounds in his third season with Cleveland. He has also been bothered by a tight back, prompting the Cavs to leave Love, LeBron James and Kyrie Irving home from a trip to Memphis.
