Jayson Castro doesn’t mind going off the bench under coach Nash Racela as long as it’s for the benefit of TNT.
“It’s OK with me because I also came off the bench when coach Chot was still on board,” he said in Filipino. “I’m used to it and I’m comfortable with it, especially coach Nash because he knows what I could provide to the team.”
And the move hasn’t diminished Castro’s effectively at all as he helped KaTropa bag their second straight win with a 109-100 victory over Alaska on Friday.
He was still able to nab his usual numbers, finishing with 16 points, seven assists, and two rebounds in the win.
Since returning three weeks ago, Castro has been averaging 20.3 markers, 3.0 boards, and 5.3 dimes to give TNT a big boost as it ties at second place woth a 4-2 record.
“I don’t mind playing off the bench or as a starter. It’s not a big deal for me as long as we’re winning.”
