Valdez headed for showdown vs PH Team in Bangkok League?

Balipure vs BOC_1890 - Alyssa Valdez

Alyssa Valdez gets a rare chance to play against—not with—the Philippine team in the Thai-Denmark Super League in March in Bangkok.

That scenario shaped up after Thai team 3BB Nakornnont announced on its Facebook page on Christmas eve that it acquired the highly popular Filipino volleyball star.

It said Valdez will be an asset starting in the second round of the Thailand League.

The Philippine Superliga is set to field a selection squad to the March 24 to 31 Thai-Denmark tournament, which regularly joins.

Valdez has long been rumored to transfer to PSL, the last time during the AVC women’s club championships for the PSL-Foton selection until the deal fell through in the last minute.

Now she gets to face on the opposite side of the court the likes of Jaja Santiago, Kim Fajardo and Mika Reyes.

With 3BB, the 23-year-old Valdez will be reunited with Bureau of Customs teammates Kanjana Kuthaisong and Nattanicha Jaisaen. They wound up second to Pocari Sweat in the recent Shakey’s V-League Reinforced Conference.
