Carl Corpus and Japan’s Yuto Katsuragawa combined to shoot a four-under-par 64 in foursome play Friday and left the NGAP National Doubles Championship field eating their dust at tight, tree-lined Camp Aguinaldo.
Corpus-Katsuragawa drained five birdies against a bogey and easily warded off the Ryan Monsalve-Lanz Uy tandem after tallying a 54-hole 265 for a six-stroke win.
Monsalve and the reedy Uy carded a 66.
Matthew Abalos and Don Petil, meanwhile, ruled Division II action.
