Alex Cabagnot remains doubtful for San Miguel Beer’s next two PBA Philippine Cup outings, but coach Leo Austria is certain that his top point guard will do
everything to play despite a broken nose as the Beermen clash with Blackwater on Jan. 6 and Ginebra two days later.
“Knowing Alex, he would want to play in those games,” Austria told the Inquirer yesterday. “In fact, Alex wants a faceguard, and he will be fitted with one on Wednesday.”
San Miguel is on top of the heap (5-1) and wants nothing less than a place in the top two to gain a lighter assignment in the quarterfinal round.
