Arellano University may be steam rolling right now in the NCAA Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament, but its head coach knows too well they can’t treat the team’s win streak without any caution.

Roberto Javier’s Lady Chiefs are on a five-game win streak and their latest victim was Jose Rizal University, 26-28, 25-6, 25-15, 25-20, Wednesday at San Juan Arena.

“It’s still scary because our team hasn’t been consistent, and we can’t relax even though we are winning,” said Javier.

“I think we should work harder than this.”

Arellano, which now holds a 5-1 record, tied defending champions College of St. Benilde and Lyceum for second place behind undefeated top seed San Sebastian.

Javier expressed disappointment with how his team mishandled the first set losing to the Lady Bombers 26-28 before getting their rhythm in the second with a 25-6 shelling of JRU.

“We have to be consistent, and we can’t afford to be on and off,” said Javier.
