Letran gets first win, keeps Mapua winless in NCAA volleyball

Letran kept Mapua’s winless skid alive in the NCAA Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament, taking a four-set victory, 22-25, 25-15, 25-22, 25-13, Thursday at San Juan Arena.

Both teams haven’t won a single game prior to Thursday and it was the Lady Knights who chalked up their first as they improved to 1-5 while the Lady Cardinals reeled to a disastrous 0-7.

Letran enjoyed 44 free points from Mapua’s errors while scoring 42 off their own spikes and seven off service aces.

Mikaela Lopez led Letran with 13 points while Glayssa Torres added 13.

Jela Pena and Angelica Guardian combined for 23 points for Mapua.
