Former University of Santo Tomas star spiker Carmela Tunay signed up to play with Petron in the Philippine Superliga’s season-opening Invitational Conference next month.

The fan favorite Tigress became the latest addition to the Tri Activ Spikers’ offseason acquisition that already included league superstars Mika Reyes, and UST spikers Ria Meneses and Cherry Rondina.

Tunay is dabbling in TV hosting and said she would give it one more try with volleyball.  She will then decide if she still wants to go full-time with her show business career.

Having graduated with a degree in communication arts, Tunay is tied up with network giant ABS-CBN.
