Letran chalked up its second win in the NCAA Season 92 women’s volleyball tournament after overcoming gritty Emilio Aguinaldo College in five sets, 18-25, 25-22, 25-23, 24-26, 15-7, Thursday at San Juan Arena.
The Lady Knights improved to 2-7 while the Lady Generals slipped to 1-8.
Jaymeleene Parin led the Lady Knights with 17 points while receiving ample support from her teammates.
Glayssa Torres and Mikaela Lopez had 12 and 11 points, respectively, while Kathleen Barrinuevo and Miracle Mendoza combined for 19 points.
Team Captain Ladeisheen Magbanua had 16 points to lead the charge for EAC while Kristine Santos added 13.
The Lady Knights, despite giving away 30 free points due to errors, enjoyed 43 points off EAC’s miscues while scoring 53 points off their spikes.
