Rosario added to Gilas pool

Troy Rosario has been added to the new Gilas Pilipinas pool.

Coach Chot Reyes announced Tuesday that the TNT forward will be included to the now 25-man pool on his Twitter account.

With clearance from “TNT management and the PBA board,” Reyes will have two players from the KaTropa side. Jayson Castro’s inclusion to the pool was announced on Sunday.

The PBA and SBP initially agreed that each team will lend at least one player for Gilas duties.

Rosario is no stranger to Gilas Pilipinas, suiting up in the 2016 Fiba Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

The lanky forward’s inclusion to the team, which is said to be the tallest pool ever assembled, gives Reyes a forward who can not only operate down low but is also threat from the outside.

Rosario, 25, has been averaging 12.8 points on a 32-percent shooting from three, and 6.9 rebounds so far this 2017 PBA Philippine Cup.
