‘Neymar Jr’s Five’ football tournament reaches Manila
Football star Neymar Jr.’s signature football tournament has reached Manila.
The tournament named Neymar Jr’s Five features a unique, fast-paced football competition which has drawn more 65,000 players from 47 countries in its first year.
Article continues after this advertisementIt is a 10-minute, five-a-side battle with a twist—each time one team scores, the opposition loses a player. The game ends when the time runs out or until one team has no player left.
The qualifying rounds in Manila will be held on February 18 and 25 at SPARTA Philippines in Mandaluyong with the finals scheduled on March 4.
This year’s edition is open to teams of five to seven players aged 16 to 25 and, for the first time, two over-aged players.
Participants must have a passport on standby with a chance of making it to the World Final at Instituto Projeto NeymarJr in Praia Grande, Brazil this year. Celest Flores-Colina
