Pacquiao in minor car smash

LAS VEGAS – Filipino southpaw Manny Pacquiao was involved in a minor car accident after leaving a Mass service Saturday morning just hours before his world title fight against Shane Mosley.

Pacquiao was in a sports utility vehicle that was making its way through the grounds of the MGM Grand Hotel when it was struck from behind by a slow moving vehicle which carried his security personnel.

No one was injured and the damage to Pacquiao’s vehicle was not serious enough to call the police, said spokesman Fred Sternburg.

“It is a tradition for Manny to attend Mass the day of a fight,” Sternburg said.

Pacquiao will defend his World Boxing Council title in a welterweight bout with American Shane Mosley
