PH squad: Indonesia no easy foe

Philippine Davis Cup team captain Karl Santamaria remained wary of Indonesia despite the absence of its top player Christopher Rungkat ahead of their Group 2 encounter on Feb. 3 to 5 at Philippine Columbian Association in Paco, Manila.

Although the world No. 448 is not in the lineup, Santamaria said he can still be included one day before the Asia/Oceania tie starts.

“Lineups can still be changed so we are still on the assumption that he may still be there by Friday,” said Santamaria.

Indonesia leads the Philippines, 6-4, in their head-to-head duel, with the Filipinos last winning in 1999 in Jakarta in a Group 2 semifinal tie.
