University of the Philippines star Jett Manuel is slated to beef up Mighty Sports for the 2017 Dubai Invitational Basketball Tournament in February.

The 23-year-old guard confirmed his next move after being awarded as a Super Senior in the 2017 Collegiate Basketball Awards Thursday at Montgomery Place in Quezon City.

“For now, I’ll play with Mighty in Dubai,” he said.

Manuel averaged 15.0 points on 40.3-percent clip, to go with 4.2 rebounds in his final year with the Fighting Maroons.

Manuel is set on entering the 2017 PBA Rookie Draft later this year.

“My next basketball goal is PBA Draft. I didn’t commit to the (PBA) D-League though I had offers. I didn’t pursue that, but I’m going to see next conference where I would benefit the most,” he said.

Manuel will join forces with Kiefer Ravena, fellow Xavier alumni TY Tang and Jeron Teng, two-time PBA Most Valuable Player Willie Miller, and imports Justin Brownlee and Hasheem Thabeet for the Dubai tilt.
