Global fell to the AFC Cup group stage, after suffering a 0-6 defeat to Brisbane Roar last Tuesday night in the second round of AFC Champions League qualification phase.

Conceding three goals in the first 30 minutes, the reigning United Football League champions got a neat lesson on attacking from the A-League side form at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The loss sent Global to the group stage of the AFC Cup, along with another Filipino club, Ceres-Negros. Global will be in Group F with Malaysian champion Johor Dairul Tazim and Myanmar’s Magwe.
