Jumao-as gives Teng, AMA a much-needed lift
Jeron Teng may have been dazzling so far in his stint with AMA Online Education this 2017 PBA D-League Aspirants’ Cup, but even he knows that he needs some help.
The former La Salle star is averaging a league-best 27.8 points, but hadn’t gotten solid support in the backcourt except from guys Juami Tiongson, Ryan Arambulo, and Genmar Bragais.

Teng was especially delighted with Jumao-as, who finished with 12 points, seven rebounds, and two assists to give AMA a much needed lift off the bench.
“His addition is a big thing for us. I played against him in the UAAP, so I know what he’s capable of doing,” said Teng. “When he started practicing with us, I’m sure that he’ll be able to help the team. And that’s exactly what he did.”

“It’s a big win for us because we’re on a downturn coming from those two losses. We thought that we really have to bounce back and we really have to win this game,” he said.
“What’s good about our situation right now is we’re still in control,” he said. “We just have to take care of our business in our next games. We’ll see what happens there.”
AMA returns to action next Monday against Victoria Sports-MLQU.
