Alab Pilipinas outplayed Singapore down the stretch for a 64-62 win in overtime in the Asean Basketball League Sunday at OCBC Arena in Singapore.

Alab import Sampson Carter made the game-winning play, completing a three-point play with 19 seconds left, before guard Jens Knuttel had a defensive game to preserve the win.

The Philippines nearly blew it after squandering a seven-point lead in regulation.

The Filipinos redeemed themselves from a 72-65 home loss to the Saigon Heat in Davao City last week and hiked their record to 7-4 good for third place behind the league-leading Hong Kong Eastern Long Lions (7-2) and the Slingers (10-3).

The 6-foot-8 Sampson notched a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds.

Justin Howard led Singapore with 28 points, 14 rebounds and four blocks.
