Cherry Rondina is known for two things: her scoring and her explosions of energy.
Each point for the playful Cebuana is celebrated as if it was a championship point, and the University of Santo Tomas skipper sometimes wants her teammates to have the same intensity as her.
“Yes [I want them to match my energy], but I’m used to the fact that they really don’t display that much energy as I do,” said Rondina Wednesday after UST’s 25-9, 25-22, 25-23 win at Filoil Flying V Arena.

Rondina had 12 points to help the Golden Tigresses get past University of the East to get their first win of the season and as always she was the personification of an explosion.
She admits that she can’t change how her teammates show their passion for the game but she won’t mind if they do it like she does.
“That’s their way of concentrating, that’s their way of celebrating but if they can show the same energy as I do, why not?” said Rondina.
