Mosley: I’ll win by KO

LAS VEGAS—For Shane Mosley, there will be no need to go to the judges’ scorecards when he tangles with Manny Pacquiao for the World Boxing Organization welterweight crown on Saturday.

The former three-division world champion believes the fight will end by knockout.

With him standing, he insists.

According to Mosley, even at 39, there’s still enough gas left in his tank to upstage Pacquiao and shock the boxing world.

Mosley’s confidence stems from his study of Pacquiao’s fighting style.

Adhering to the cliché that styles make fights, he said Pacquiao’s aggressiveness and explosiveness are best suited for him.

Mosley says that Pacquiao is “always on the attack and throws a lot of punches,” leaving him open for a counterpunch.

Of course, Mosley also knows that many others before him have failed to exploit what he perceives to be a Pacquiao flaw.

David Diaz, Oscar De La Hoya, Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto all got stopped while Joshua Clottey and Antonio Margarito barely survived Pacquiao’s onslaught.

Mosley notes that his vast experience will enable him to put “Pacquiao’s flurries under control.”

He also says that his power “remains the same” and he’s still “agile enough to cope” with the expected Pacquiao blitz on fight night.
