Amateur hotshots Kiefer Ravena and Jeron Teng will test their mettle against foreign opposition when Mighty Sports-Philippines tackles host Al Ahli on Friday at the start of the Dubai International Basketball Tournament at Dubai’s premier sports club.

Ravena, a two-time UAAP MVP with Ateneo, and Teng, a two-time UAAP Finals MVP with De La Salle, are expected to provide Mighty Sports the firepower alongside PBA veterans JC Intal, Ryan Araña and Chris Tiu, and import Justin Brownlee.

“This is my first big tournament since the UAAP finals, so I will try to take this opportunity to show what can I do,” said Teng.

Also beefing up the team are 7-foot-3 import Hasheem Thabeet, Jett Manuel, two-time PBA MVP Willie Miller, Gary David and Beau Belga.
