Isa Molde is back to her usual scoring self.

After struggling the past two games, the reigning Rookie of the Year has returned to form and helped University of the Philippines get its fourth straight win in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament.

Molde finished with 14 points, her highest scoring game this season so far, as the Lady Maroons trumped University of Santo Tomas, 25-22, 25-22, 29-31, 25-19 Sunday at Filoil Flying V Centre in San Juan.

Her scoring struggles, however, doesn’t seem to bother her and all she just cares about is helping his team get the wins they want.

“I’m really not conscious about my scoring, as long as I help the team win that’s fine with me even if I don’t score a lot,” said Molde, who scored a combined 19 points in her first three games.

“The simple dig, the simple kill, I’m okay with that as long as I help my team get points.”

During Molde’s slump, it has been her batch mate Diana Carlos who’s done the heavy lifting for UP as she leads the 4-0 Lady Maroons in scoring with 14.5 points a game.

And even with her scoring exploits, Carlos said UP’s offense is still a balanced team effort and it just so happened that she’s been converting on more of her attempts.

“Coach [Jerry Yee] is still the one who tells our setter who to give the ball to, so whoever’s in the right position to score she’s usually the one to get the ball,” said Carlos.
