La Carlota netters dominate PPS Iloilo tournament

Tracy Llamas snared two titles while Khenz Justiniani nailed a win and a runner-up finish as La Carlota bets shone in the Palawan Pawnshop-Palawan Express Pera Padala Iloilo regional tennis tournament at Ultra Tennis Club Monday.

Llamas overpowered Averille Sacapano twice—6-1, 6-3 in girls’ 16-U and 6-3, 6-4 in the premier 18-U class.

The 12-year-old Justiniani bested Kyrwin De Asis, 7-5, 6-1, to rule his age-group but fell short against Marben Mosquera of Iloilo, 4-6, 3-6, in 14-U.

Other winners from La Carlota were Alexa Milliam girls’ 12-U, 14-U) and Karl Baran (boys’ 18-U). —VANESSA B. HIDALGO
