Fajardo leads Best Player race
June Mar Fajardo’s bid for a record-equaling fourth PBA Most Valuable Player in the league’s 42nd season has gotten off to a promising start.
Just three months into the season, the hulking San Miguel center looks poised to pick up a fifth PBA Best Player of the Conference award, which will also tie a league record set by his mentor, ex-San Miguel star Danny Ildefonso.

Fajardo, the MVP of the last three seasons, can become
the third player to win four MVP awards by the end of the season, matching the record of Alvin Patrimonio and Ramon
Fernandez.
GlobalPort guard Terrence Romeo (40.2 SPs) ranks second with Calvin Abueva of Alaska (31.9 SPs) in third spot, but both their teams failed to make the semifinal round.
