UST sends NU reeling to third straight loss

University of Santo Tomas scored a massive upset over National University, U 21-25 25-14, 25-14, 25-12, for its first win streak in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament Wednesday at Filoil Flying V Arena.

The Golden Tigresses improved to 3-3 with their first back-to-back wins of the season while the Lady Bulldogs remain stumbled to their third straight setback.

Dimdim Pacres scored 11 points off the bench for UST but none bigger than her service ace that sealed the match for UST.

UST went berserk on the defense of NU scoring 45 spikes while limiting the Lady Bulldogs to just 25.

The Golden Tigresses was also on point with their serves as they scored 12 aces.

Cherry Rondina was the high-point lass for UST with 15 points while EJ Laure added 11.

Jaja Santiago was the lone bright spot for the Lady Bulldogs with 15 points.
