Scottie Thompson feels he doesn’t need to make any adjustments heading into Game 4 after being held to a subpar outing on Wednesday night.

Three nights after a herculean effort in Barangay Ginebra’s overtime win in Game 2 where he collected 18 points, 18 rebounds and eight assists, Thompson was limited to just eight points and four rebounds.

“That’s normal. If you had a good game last time, the other team will really prepare for you next game,” Thompson said in Filipino after the Gin Kings lost to the San Miguel Beermen in Game 3, 99-88. “It’s a battle of adjustments.”

“But I’m not going to make any adjustments for myself. I think what we need to do is to we will have to adjust as a team. Coach Tim (Cone) already knows what we have to do and we’ll just have to wait what he in mind.”

Thompson had his fingerprints all over Ginebra’s 124-118 victory in Lucena as he gave San Miguel fits with his all-around game.

That prompted the Beermen to make Thompson as one of their main priorities coming into Wednesday’s game with Fajardo telling reporters that they have to be aware where the heady guard is on the court at all times.

Thompson and the rest of the Gin Kings go for the equalizer on Friday night still at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
