Longtime UFC Welterweight Champion Georges “Rush” St. Pierre is indeed back with the promotion after signing a new deal for four fights.
First on the list is a middleweight title bout against Michael Bisping at a currently undermined event later this year.
As expected, the ever-brash English fighter hurled unpleasantries at St. Pierre, which admittedly caught the usually reserved Canadian off guard.

“He caught me off guard a little bit. I didn’t see him coming,” St-Pierre said on The MMA Hour, as relayed by MMAFighting.
“I do not believe Michael Bisping is a good trash talker. I believe the best thing he did for me was to talk, because he embarrassed himself every time he opened his mouth. So he did the job for me. I didn’t even have to say anything.”
St. Pierre, who remains as the most dominant welterweight of all time, is no stranger to verbal assaults, after battling the likes of notorious trash talkers like Nick Diaz and Josh Koscheck in the past.
Despite his opponent’s penchant for trash talking even before the fight starts, the returning champion said that he would not stoop down to his level.
“English is not my first language, and I’m just not good at trash talking. I do my talking in the fight. I’m not a good talker, I’m a good fighter,” he said during the podcast.
