SUBIC – Like the calm before the storm, athletes stripped down to their underwears and once again hit the streets of Subic Bay in the third Century Tuna Superbods: The Underpants Run held Saturday morning.
Runners in different kinds of colorful costumes and undergarments dominated the field of over 300 coming from all ages.
Inspired by the tradition in Kona, Hawaii, Ironman athletes as well as Superbods finalists ran for a kilometer and a half, starting and ending at the Subic Bay Yacht Club as they took in the sights of the scenic Subic Bay in the wildly popular pre-Ironman race activity.
The fun run was also for a cause, with the proceeds going to the Philippine Red Cross Olongapo Chapter.
