PETRON withstood a feisty Cocolife to prevail, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-21, Saturday night and remain unbeaten in the Belo-Philippine Superliga Invitational Conference at Malolos Sports and Convention Center.

The Blaze Spikers this strung up three straight wins and solidified its bid for outright semifinals seat, while handing the Asset Managers their third straight defeat.

Earlier, Cignal overcame a momentary disruption to down Sta. Lucia Realty, 20-25, 25-10, 25-20, 25-10.

Already, Cignal coach George Pascua said they are on target for the semifinals after snaring their second win in three matches.
