Adamson head coach Airess Padda extended her apologies to her team through her Facebook account after cursing at them on live television during a timeout in their match against Far Eastern University Sunday at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Padda told her team to “do your (expletive) job” during one of the Lady Falcons’ huddles.

“First off I would like to express my deepest apologies for the foul language that I used today at our game,” Padda wrote. “During that timeout I was over come with frustration and I let my emotions get the best of me. I acted out of character.”
Adamson was down, 11-9, in the second set when Padda gave her team an earful.
The Lady Falcons lost the game in three sets, 25-9, 25-20, 25-11, as they languished at the bottom of the standings with a 0-9 record in the UAAP Season 79 women’s volleyball tournament.
“The word that I used was not directed at anyone per say, it was an expression I used in a sentence which was used to show my frustration. Nonetheless it was wrong,” Padda said. “Not only do I represent myself as the head coach but I also represent Adamson University and Akari.”
Padda was brought in as Sherwin Meneses’ full-time replacement when the latter left Adamson midway through Season 78.
Falcons head coach Domingo Custodio took over the team in an interim basis until the end of last year’s tournament while Meneses eventually joined Ateneo as an assistant.
Despite having a star studded coaching staff composed of collegiate icons Michelle Gumabao and Angeli Tabaquero, Padda has yet to win a game in the UAAP as she handles an Adamson team comprised mainly of rookies and sophomores.
Skipper Jema Galanza is the only notable holdover from last year’s team that included seniors Mylene Paat, Fem Emnas, and Erika Alkuino.
Padda added she won’t give up on the Lady Falcons, who are currently on a rebuilding phase.
“I’m very passionate about what I do and about my team. Every game day is a new opportunity for The Lady Falcons to win. We haven’t given, we won’t stop fighting! Thank you to all our fans who continue to support us through this year of rebuilding,” said Padda.
“It warms my heart every time I see you in the stands cheering us on every game, and all the supportive comments I receive on FB. Continue to fight with us and never give up!”
