Pacquiao-Mosley fight set to start

MANILA, Philippines – (UPDATE) The national anthems of the United States and the Philippines kicked off the pre-fight ceremonies for Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley, with international Filipino sensation Charice Pempengco doing the honors for the Philippines. Pempengco shrugged off a possible controversy by going the safe route, singing the “Lupang Hinirang” as prescribed by law.

Transformers star and actor Tyrese Gibson sang the US national anthem.

Jamie Fox also put in a special performance after both national anthems were done.

Mosley, the challenger, made his entrance first, his walk opened by rapper LL Cool J.

Mosley was greeted by light cheers while LL Cool J belted out “I’m gonna knock you out” as the entourage made its way to the ring.

The cheers exploded when it was Manny Pacquiao’s turn to make his entrance. The reigning pound-for-pound king made his way to the ring with Survivor lead vocalist Jimi Jamison belting out the iconic “Eye of the Tiger.”
