TNT sends Bowles home
Denzel Bowles’ stint with TNT came to a screeching halt even before it started.
Coach Nash Racela confirmed on Thursday that the former Best Import awardee is headed home, leaving the KaTropa management rushing to find a replacement on the eve of the 2017 PBA Commissioner’s Cup.
Though he didn’t divulge more on KaTropa management’s decision, the affable mentor downplayed the move saying Bowles “had to attend on some personal matters.”
TNT eyes to seal a deal with a new import at the end of the day.
“We still don’t have (a replacement) import, but we’re hoping that we’ll get one by next week,” said Racela.
Fortunately for TNT, the new reinforcement will have an ample time to blend in as the team opens its conference next Friday against Meralco at Smart Araneta Coliseum.
“We’re hoping to fly in the new import, whoever he may be, next week so he’ll get at least three practices with us,” Racela said.
