Crowd arrive in trickles at Araneta Coliseum for Pacquiao-Mosley bout

MANILA, Philippines – Roughly an estimated hour before the much-awaited fight of Manny Pacquiao and Shane Mosley, the crowd has started arriving in trickles at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao for the live view Sunday morning.

The fans are enjoying the title fights lined up before the main event on a giant LED screen, vaguely reminiscent of MGM Grand in Las Vegas, where Pacquiao is fighting today.

It was a different experience from the Pacquiao-Margarito fight last December where Araneta Coliseum set up cube of screens in the hard court where the fight was shown via projectors.

Not many were in yellow – the color of the gloves to be used by Pacquiao – even as the Palace urged everyone Friday to show support for the cause by wearing yellow.

Pacquiao announced that he would be wearing a pair of yellow gloves, a change from the customary color of red, to signify his fight against hunger and poverty.

As of 11:30 a.m., tickets ranging from P680 to P200 are not yet sold out.
