Magnaye-Pomar bags Prima plum

National players Peter Gabriel Magnaye and Thea Marie Pomar thwarted teammates Alyssa Ysabel Leonardo and Alvin Morado, 21-19, 21-13, to clinch the mixed doubles Open crown of the 10th Prima Pasta Badminton Championship at Powersmash Makati recently.

In the level A finals, Aires Amor Montilla and John Gregg Paz, meanwhile, rallied past John Paul Pantig and Franceska Bermejo, 12-21, 21-13, 21-17.

Other winners in the Smart Communications-backed event are Jennifer Cayetano-Dodie Sertan, level B; Grezel Alfoneth Alquitas-Edwin John, level C title; Joy Abad-Nephtali Pineda, level D; and Lester Gromet-Jennifer Marquez, level E title. —VANESSA B. HIDALGO
